Handmade notebooks now available!

Late in 2025 I finally delved into a craft that I've always wanted to learn - bookbinding. I've been pretty voraciously learning anything and everything I can about bookbinding and book repair since, whether reading books, watching YouTube (DAS Bookbinding is amazing!), doing online workshops, scrolling through the /bookbinding subreddit - lots of self-teaching, in other words. Now I'm finding I need some direction.

I am the type of person that needs structure and a goal to keep myself motivated. So next year I will hopefully be taking a book repair and conservation course at West Dean College in Sussex so as to further understand the technicalities of conservation work. I would like to eventually offer book repair as a service and I would like to be (at least somewhat) professionally trained to do so.

So, I need to raise some money to further my education! Every pound from the sale of my handmade notebooks will be going toward funding this course (and any other learning opportunities I come across), not toward maintaining the business behind Laurel Tree Books. If you're a journal-er, an artist, a scrap-booker or an avid note-taker, please consider buying one of my notebooks, and tell all your friends/family/acquaintances/local shopkeepers/bus drivers/colleagues/everyone in the world.

Thank you so much for your support and for loving all forms of books!
